I love my Vitamix! I can whip up a smoothie in a matter of minutes and throw anything in it--and they're yummy! Michael can be a bit hesitant in the beginning, probably due to the color, but Holden usually dives right in! So far they've always been good, even if they are a funny color.
This one includes: yogurt, almond milk, banana, pear juice, blueberries, carrots, orange juice and spinach--my secret ingredient!
We've had some lovely weather this last week. And then we've had some not so great wind storms.
Here Holden and Daddy took in the view from Cap Sante overlook on a beautiful evening.
Feeling like Spring has arrived, I attempted to get some yard work done. Holden agreed to help...by looking for dandelions.
We had a good day at gymnastics this week. Holden is getting better at listening to directions and waiting her turn. She seems to enjoy the trampoline the most and often comes home to practice her jumps on the extra bed in her room. I'll try to figure out how to post videos on here soon since pictures of gymnastics class really doesn't do it justice.
After class this week we were able to meet up with Grandma and Grandpa for lunch!
Now that we're back to rainy, windy weather we've been reading books and fitting a quick craft in when Iona is napping. Here you see Holden is modeling her queen crown that she made following the directions from the magazine she is holding (thanks Nani!). No, it's not a princess crown. She was pretty clear when she told me it was her queen crown. I'm not sure what that makes me...a servant I suppose. :)
Many of you have asked about Iona's poo. Unfortunately it is still green. She saw the doctor again this week and we've decided since she's gaining weight, and seems perfectly happy, that we'll just go with it. I'm still limiting dairy, soy and peanuts, but that doesn't seem to make much difference, so I eat a bit of those things here and there. She really is a happy baby. Her favorite thing to do is watch her sister. As you know, Holden is always on the move, which is great for entertainment purposes. We've been loving hearing our daughters laugh together!
In other news, I'm feeling quite lucky! I have won three different contests in the last 6 months! Given that I have only entered three contests, I'm doing pretty well! So far I've won a fancy bottle of expensive stretch mark oil, that I guess worked since I have no stretch marks, and a $25 amazon gift certificate. And then just today I was notified that I won a toddler recipe contest and will be receiving some fun baby food dishes, as well as being entered into the national contest where I can win a super cool baby chair for Iona. So, basically I'm feeling pretty lucky! Hmm...maybe I should run downtown now and get myself that winning lottery ticket!
